ECRO - FAQ's on ordering photos.
UPDATE ON SHIPPING OF ORDERS - as of Dec5.08
All orders purchased and fully paid for at the event have been shipped unless you ordered additional photos online afterward, or in the event we have contacted you for additional informaton.
Please keep in mind that photos are shipped in rigid envelopes that are not standard sized and cannot be folded therefore delivery time is longer than the standard turnaround of 2 days within Canada. In our experience we have found that envelopes are moving in the following time frames;
Orders with only 5x7's - 2-4 business days
Orders with any 8x10's - 3-6 business days
Orders with any 11x14's - 4-7 business days
Please remember that orders that were paid for after the event are guaranteed to be shipped within 21 days of receipt of payment. If you have a specific concern, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@rincepix.com. Be sure to include the relevant information (the full name of the person who ordered the photos, and for online photos the order number) so we can answer you quickly.
WIll photos be colour corrected?
Yes, every purchased photo under goes complete editing, however you should be aware that the Awards and Parade of Champions photos have already been edited to some extent. For these photos you be aware that the colour and quality of the photo will not change dramatically.
The Stage (toe) Pics have not been colour corrected at all. Each purchased photo will be edited however because we were shooting in very dim conditions with no flash we cannot guarantee that dress colours will be completely accurate though they will be better than pictured. If you have questions on a specific photo, please ask.
Portraits have undergone a preliminary edit, but will also be edited again if purchased. Editing includes colour correction (lightening/brightening) and cropping the photo to centre the dancer. We will include reduction or removal of shine on faces and blemishes where possible.
Can I have an awards photo cropped?
In most cases yes. You can leave these instructions for us in the comments section of the order form.
Why are your photo number so long? Do I need to put the whole file name on the order form?
We have divided the photos into several folders and in most cases then sub folders by age - so essentially every folder will have a photo '069' for example so it's essential that we have the entire photo number. (i.e. AS1-069 or AF2-0135-069 or tp-u17soft-069) so that we can ensure you get the correct photo.
Commemorative Border - what exactly is this?
You can choose to have a commemorative border added to the bottom of any Stage (Toe Point) Photos, or Portraits that are 5x7 or larger. We cannot print the border on wallet size photos. For a sample click here. The border is not available on Awards Photos.
May I add to an order I made at the event?
Of course! We will be happy to ship them together as long as your initial order has not been shipped and that you understand the first order may be delayed until the 2nd order is ready. In other words we cannot prioritize your online order over those received before yours. Please check the appropriate box to Indicate that you made a previous order, and would like them combined for shipping.
When can I expect to receive my photos?
Any orders that were purchased (paid for) at the event will be shipped no later than November 28th.
Any online orders will be shipped within 21 days of payment being made and are processed in a first come, first serve basis based on your payment date. Because of the sheer volume of orders we have extended our processing time to provide a reasonable time period that we can be sure to meet. Please allow an additional 2-5 business days for the delivery of your order via Canada Post. If you need your order for Christmas gift giving, please order no later than November 28th for us to guarantee you will have it in time. Orders placed later may be ready by Christmas, but we cannot guarantee this.
How can I pay for my order?
You can now pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac Online, PayPal, cheque or money order. Credit Card and Interac Online orders are processed via Internet Secure. Please be aware that orders paid by cheque will be held for 10 days to allow the cheque to clear before the order is processed.
Can I Order 4" x 6" Photos?
Unfortunately 4" x 6" photos are not available for this event, other than as the bonus photo for those people who paid in cash at the event. 4x6's will not have the commemorative border.
