Child Protection & Privacy Policy
The vast majority of people involved in Irish Dancing Feiseanna and other similar events derive interest and pleasure from the photos captured by RincePix and from the enthusiasm and emotions shown by the participants. These vents, by their nature, are in the public arena and when entering for an event the participant acknowledges this fact, and that at least photographers authorized by the event may take photographs. RincePix will take all reasonable precautions to protect participants against the possible inappropriate use of photographic images.

At RincePix, we take your dancer's safety very seriously.  You will notice that dancers who appear in our galleries are never identified by name, unless there has been express permission by the dancer (of age), or their parents.   Additionally, our galleries have the added protection that the 'right click' or 'save as' function has been disabled. In the event that pictures are printed directly from the site, the RincePix watermark will still be in place to prevent the photo from being used in any meaningful way without permission.  If you would still prefer your dancer to not appear on our site - please

How Do We Choose Which Photos to Use in Our Galleries?

In choosing photographs for the RincePix gallery, we are mindful of representing all dancers and families in the most positive light possible.  RincePix often takes candid photos to capture the mood or flavour of an event.  It should be noted that RincePix will never intentionally photograph any dancers while they are in process of changing into, or out of, their costume, or who are not properly dressed (i.e. sitting in bloomers). Should such a photograph be taken unintentionally, it will be promptly destroyed.

Action shots showing perfect form are few and far between.  When choosing which action photos to include in the gallery, we consider the age and competition level of the dancer, and we ask ourselves if it were our own dancer's photograph - would we want it displayed?  If you as the dancer, parent or teacher disagree with our choice, please feel free to               and we will promptly remove the photograph from our gallery.

Use of Photos

The photographs that we take may be used for publicity purposes (online or in print) by RincePix, Irish Dancing & Culture Magazine, the host event’s website or other legitimately recognized publications that are promoting Irish Dancing or an Irish Dancing event.  We will not release photos for any other purpose without receiving your written permission.

Dress Designs

At RincePix, we are Irish Dancing parents like you, and we appreciate how closely we all guard our dancer’s dresses (both the dress itself and the design).   RincePix will only take photos of your dancer’s dress when she is in it.  We will never share your dancer’s photo other than for the legitimate publicity purposes as described in the paragraph above.  We respect that most dress designs are a one of a kind piece of artwork, and we will not support any effort to copy dress designs.
